Judge Dredd's Lawgiver gun won't work if it is not him operating it. The weapon is so smart it knows who's who. That concept is now becoming a reality thanks to the Sentinl Identilock.

Developed by Omer Kiyani, he was a victim of an unsecured firearm shot to the face as a child. The device is so clever, it can attach to a handgun's trigger, and is equipped with a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

For safety's sake and probably the best, the Identilock won't fire back on an unregistered shooter like Judge Dredd's. It will keep the trigger from being pulled. Multiple trusted users can be associated with the device.
