Apple showed off a few screenshots of its CarPlay in-car system earlier but here's a video of it in action. It will turn your car's dashboard into one giant iPhone of sorts.

This Volvo demo shows it being used on a larger portrait sized display. The iOS icons are limited to the lower half of the screen while Volvo's UI occupies the upper half.

This means the CarPlay interface isn't going to necessarily replace or completely supplant your vehicle's existing UI. It just aims to provide a more driving-friendly means to access mobile devices while you're driving.

That sort of strategy could make adoption by automakers relatively simple. [Volvo]
