HP Announces Two Huge Smartphones Today - Slate 6 and Slate 7

Hewlett-Packard has two extra-large smartphones coming out today, Re/code reports. It will be called Slate 6 and Slate 7 and have 6 and 7 inch screens respectively. The phablets will run on Android 4.2.2 and have a quad-core processor, 16GB of storage and a MicroSD memory card slot for extra storage.
These phones will debut in India.
"Consumers are looking for a way to consolidate devices. We think there’s an opportunity to enter a growing market where there’s an unmet need,” Ron Coughlin, vice president of HP's consumer PC business said.
