Super Junior M attended the Asia-Pacific Film Festival in Kaohsiung last night, much to the delight of many Kpop loving fans in Taiwan, but due to unforeseen circumstances they were late and were unable to walk on the red carpet.

This in turn caused fans that were waiting patiently in the cold to cry because of their disappointment, and later on backstage, leader Hangeng who had heard of this issue professed that they wanted to wipe the tears off their fans’ faces.

On the behalf of all 7 members, Hangeng clarified that they had missed their plane to Hong Kong after a four-hour rush from Wenzhou to Wuxi, resulting in their inability to walk on the red carpet before the ceremony.

Many fans that did not have tickets waited outside the area just to catch a glimpse of their idols, but due to SJ-M’s no-show, cried because of their immense disappointment. After presenting their award, SJ-M promised that they would wipe the tears off their fans’ faces, and definitely have better arrangements the next time round.

When asked about the earthquake (a minor one had struck during the ceremony itself), Hangeng said that none of them had noticed it, realizing that one had struck only after a backstage worker informed them of it.

Hangeng also commented that if the fans strongly want it, SJ-M will hold a concert in Taiwan next year if there are opportunities to do so, and additional days added to the concert if it happens, will also be possible.


I think they had to switch flights to Taiwan from Hong Kong or something. It's been hard on them and the fans, because they seem to be rushing everywhere these days
