It has been known ahead of Son DamBi’s comeback that she will not only be active as a singer, but she will also be acting and advancing to overseas market.
The drama ‘Dream’ which stars Son DamBi has been aired on Fuji TV from 28th March as title ‘My Dream’, setting out the milestone for Son DamBi’s overseas advance. The drama, based on a mixed martial arts sports, was in good competition in terma of viewership rate with drama ‘Queen SeonDeok’ when it was aired in 2009. After the airing of the drama comes to an end in Japan, Son DamBi will fly to Japan in around June for a fanmeeting event.
Coming back with a new album in Korea in May, Son DamBi will also be performing during her promotions in Japan. The airing of the drama ‘Dream’ in Japan will be an outpost step for Son DamBi’s overseas advance.
Son DamBi was previously offered to appear on Hollywood movie ‘Hype Nation’, but in the end she gave up the opportunity with the indefinite postponing of the movie production.
Meanwhile, Son DamBi is working on her comeback album. Even though the title song has yet been confirmed, it is said that she will comeback as the ‘queen of Kpop’ in May.
