International R&B singer Usher will arrive in Korea later on today for his concert the next day, according to concert promoter Hyundai Card on Friday.
"Usher will be arriving in Korea at the Incheon International Airport around 4 p.m. today," an official from Hyundai Card told Asia Economic Daily over the phone.
He added that the singer will head straight for a press conference to be held at the headquarters of Hyundai Card and that he has no other plans scheduled for his stay in the country.
Usher will be performing at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul for the "Hyundai Super Concert X - Usher" tomorrow.
Usher, whose full name is Usher Raymond IV, rose to fame in the 1990s with his album "My Way" and "8701." His first album "My Way" became certified platinum 6 times and "8701" 4 times.
He won the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for his songs "You Make Me Wanna," "U Remind Me" and "U Don't Have to Call." He also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with other singles such as "My Boo," "Caught Up" and "Yeah!'
In 2002, Usher founded his own record label called US Records that manages the singing career of teen pop sensation Justin Bieber.
