[Oricon] 2PM, Japan Debut DVD Has All-Time Highest Ranking for a K-Pop Male Group, Ranks at #4
The Japan Debut DVD “Hottest~2PM 1st MUSIC VIDEO COLLECTION & The History~” (On Sale 11/24)of the 6-membered, male group originating from Korea, 2PM, took in sales of 20,000 in its first week of being released and made its first appearance on Oricon’s Weekly DVD Ranking, dated Dec 6th, with a comprehensive rank at #4.
Their ranking has set a record, having obtained the all-time highest ranking for a male Korean group’s Debut DVD and exceeding (excludes units derivative from the group) the #5 rank of BIGBANG’s “2009 BIGBANG LIVE CONCERT ‘BIG SHOW’” (released on 08/2009).
This DVD compiles the music videos for 7 of their songs which were already released in Korea as well as 'historical images', i.e, collected images especially selected from a vast amount of images from the past. An ticket for the event, "2PM 1st Contact in JAPAN", which will be held on Dec 8th at Tokyo's Ryokokugikan, is enclosed only in the first printing of limited edition DVDs.
