2AM is a popular Korean ballad group. It consists of 4 members including Changmin, Seulong, Jokwon and Jinwoon who were selected from 13 boys in the MNET show back in 2008. They are designed to be a "versatile group" so that they are all good at singing, acting and MCing as well.

As Korea's popular ballad group, members are coordinating very well. However, in this interview they were divided into 2 groups and we could only interview Jokwon and Seulong. When asked who is the most narcissistic in the group, Jokwon and Seulong both immediately indicated Changmin and Jinwoon complaining they're the most narcissistic. Then Seulong said, "Just kidding!" Jokwon as the leader also said, "We all aren't narcissistic!" Maybe 2AM are too busy to be narcissistic!

Strength & Shortcomings

Even though Jokwon is the shortest in height amongst 2AM, his sense of responsibility and courage gained him much appreciation from Seulong. In Seulong's view, Jokwon is a "100% perfect, no shortcoming" man. Meanwhile, Jokwon loves Seulong's passion for the entertainment industry stating "He has passion for everything and works very hard. He does everything with a positive attitude. He's as charming as Korean women's favorite actor Cha Seungwon!"

Then what kind of shortcoming does Seulong have in Jokwon's view? Since Seulong hurt his toe when playing around the pool in hotel the day before, Jokwon laughed and said, "He likes making fun so much that sometimes he gets hurt. As a leader, I hope they would properly control themselves when playing." Seulong, on the other hand, looked obedient as he agreed with his leader!

Pick character by age

Jokwon and Seulong have respectively participated in sitcoms/dramas and in 2010. Thus, we let them comment on each other's acting skills. Jokwon slightly commented, "We both have a long way to go in acting. We always do our best preparing for each drama before recording and we hope to bring surprise to our fans!" He also revealed that Seulong was recently invited to participate in a new drama and he would stay in continuing his funny acting.

Though they haven't got much experience in acting, the two have their ideal characters for challenge. Seulong wants to play a manly hero, "I like action movies and I want to play characters like a bodyguard or hatchet man. And of course, if I've got any chance I would like to try characters in any field." Jokwon, however, wants to play characters according to his age, "I am still young and I want to play characters that are of my age. When I get older, I would like to try those elder characters." It seems he doesn't want the character goes too far beyond his age.

Since debuted in 2008, 2AM becomes more and more popular. They are even now pulling up to their seniors, going abroad to other markets in Asia. Talking about the happiest thing since debut, Seulong said it could be divided into four parts, "First is debut. Next, top the music charts. Then, open our first concert and winning music awards. These are all our happiest moments!"

Then, when do 2AM feel the most depressed? Jokwon said, sometimes when those are planned, such as releasing albums or performance, have to be cancelled or delayed due to some reasons, they all felt depressed. "We would like to show our best to our fans soon, but when it's cancelled or delayed we would make full use of the time to perfect ourselves."

Goals in future

Everyone must have gone through a process to become an artist. As for 2AM, they have gone through the . For this, Jokwon said if he hadn't become a member of 2AM he would also step into the industry. "I've never dreamt of doing anything else. I devote all my heart to becoming an artist." But Seulong seemed to be more interested in fashion as he said if he were not a singer, he would be a fashion designer or a traveler. "These are what I like since my childhood." Actually, Changmin would often ask Seulong for advice on dressing. It's as if Seulong were Changmin's personal fashion consultant.

Since 2AM is an idol group, they're not allowed to talk about anything regarding love and relationship. That's the same in this interview as all the questions with "love" were refused. But they would like to answer the question when asked about how they feel about romance. Seulong said, "Stay with my beloved girl, at any time anywhere, that's what I think of romance." As for Jokwon, he said, "Truly doing something with my heart for someone. This represents romance." So can we say 2AM's devoting all their hearts to fans is also showing their romance?

Any plans for future? Jokwon said, "What we have achieved is we've got music prizes and have completed the goal of being a singer. In the future we hope to be Korea's National Singers and become a representative of Hallyu wave around the world." With 2AM's efforts, we believe these goals will be achieved soon!
