2NE1 rose to the top as their single 'Lonely' takes the #1 spot for being the most downloaded song for the month of May. 'Lonely' got an astounding record of 1,477,729 downloads since it's release last May 12, 2011. During the first week of it's release, 2NE1 already got the second spot on Gaon's download chart of the week (May 8- May 14)despite of it being released at the middle of the week which makes it even more outstanding. With 'Lonely' climbing fast on the charts, they managed to nab the top spot during the third week of May. It is also the top song in the digital overall category for the month and that its score of 190,000,000 is the highest so far this year.

The chart shows you the TOP 3 most downloaded songs for the month of May. Following 2NE1 closely is Sistar's Sub-unit group, SISTAR19 with their single 'Ma Boy'. 



'Lonely' was also recognized by instiz chart as a "Perfect All-Kill" after ranking number one on most online music portals days after its release. The song also secured a mutizen on Inkigayo during 2NE1's live performance last May 29, 2011.
