Girl group T-ara was chosen as the new models for Hi-Mart.

Revealved on the 14th by T-ara's agency Core Contents Media was that T-ara will begin a year-long contract as models for Hi-Mart with it's current model Nam Jin and plan to start it off by making a "Along with Nam Jin" parody.

They also said, "Because T-ara are one of the most popular figures at the moment, they were appointed as models for the brand Hi-Mart. Over the summer, T-ara started a retro craze with 'Roly-Poly' and now they are to be the first idol group to be in ads for Hi-Mart."

Hi-Mart has mainly had actors with friendly imagines in the past because they are able to appear to adults and older ages easier and more familiarly. T-ara was selected to be the first idol group to model for Hi-Mart because they are able to appeal to all people, mainly between the ages of 10-60.

T-ara's new ad with Hi-Mart will begin broadcasting on TV starting on the 23rd.
