Oricon's week entertainment magazine 'Onlystar Oricon' held a survey and asked the Japanese fans to choose the most popular star in 2011.
KARA ranks 1st and followed by Girls' Generation who is also active in Japan. Actor and singer Jang Geun Suk placed 3rd and followed by TVXQ and 2PM who came in 4th and 5th.
The representative of Orista stated "KARA's new album, Super Girl topped the Oricon chart and the sales are unbelievable. KARA's members have also been in CFs and the reason behind their success in Japan."
They also commented about SNSD, they said "Girls' Generation achieved their goal by entering worldwide market with the English version of their comeback song The Boys. Their first album 'Girls' Generation reached more than 630,000 units in sales."
They also talked about Jang Geun Suk who is the only solo singer who made it on the top 5. They explained "He became popular through his hit drama 'You're Handsome', and his debut single 'Let Me Cry' topped the Oricon. He also held a successful live concert at the Tokyo Dome last November."
