[News] KARA bags five awards at Japan Gold Disc Awards

Girl group KARA has proved their unparalleled popularity in Japan and swept this year's Gold Disc Awards.
On January 27th, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) held the 26th annual Japan Gold Disc Awards ceremony, where KARA was honored in five categories including Best Asian Artist, Best Three Asian Albums, Song of the Year by Download, Best Five Songs by Download, and Best Music Video.
Other Hallyu stars received some achievements as well. Girls Generation received awards for Album of the Year and the Best Three Asian Albums, while 2PM was named the New Artist of the Year and one of the Best Three New Artists. TVXQ won the award for Best Three Asian Albums, while Jang Keun-suk was named as one of the Best Three New Artists.
