Recently, photos of Kangin were uploaded on online community forums under the title "Soon-to-be discharged Kangin". The photos show Kangin in a different light compared to his pre-enlistment, idol star-like image.

Wearing a casual hoodie jacket and a hat, Kangin noticeably dropped significant weight compared to the days when he had just entered the military. Although his facial expression and overall image are in stark contrast from his flower boy days in Super Junior, he seems to have developed a more masculine look.
