The Hallyu wave made its way across Europe and even reached the big screen!
The
Brown Eyed Girls' hit song "
Abracadabra" was featured in the French comedy movie "
Les Tuche" last year, but has belatedly been receiving attention in Korea.
"Abracadabra" appears in a club scene for the movie. The two main characters are at a club while the song plays in the background. The main character hands the DJ a CD and asks him to change the song.
"Les Tuche" is about a family whose lifestyle changes after winning the lottery.
A representative of the girls’ agency,
Nega Network, stated, "An official request was sent in to use the song as a background music for the movie so we gave them approval. At the time, the Brown Eyed Girls members were very intrigued at the thought of ‘Abracadabra’ appearing in a movie."
