On March 28th, actor Lee Dong Gun finally completed his 22 month military service and was discharged from the Korean army.
The actor entered the military 2 years ago on June 2010 and has since then been active as a celebrity military officer in Korea's Defense Media Agency. Lee Dong Gun finalized his discharged report at 8:30 am at the Ministry of Defense in Yongsan on March 28.
Dressed in full military uniform, Lee stood in front of the main gates and greeted with a full salute and proclaimed, "Loyalty! I’m declaring that Sergeant Lee Dong Gun has received his discharge papers on March 28, 2012."
He continued, "While I was very grateful for the interest shown during my enlistment, the fans continued to show their support with pictures and gifts during my time in the army. And I’m very happy to see so many of you today."
Afterwards, Lee had to leave to attend a cake cutting and wreath ceremony that was prepared by his fan club.
Lee Dong Gun made his debut as an actor in 1998. He is well-known for his roles in dramas "Lovers in Paris", "Sweet 18" and "Smile Again."
