[NEWS] 1-minute explosion scene in ‘Ghost’ costs 200 million KRW

The new SBS TV Wednesday and Thursday drama “Ghost” will broadcast succeeding “Rooftop Prince“. The opening of the drama has an explosion scene of great significance, which spent a generous 200 million South Korean won (about USD $175,000) to produce.
The shooting for the set of scenes was done at an abandoned coal plant in Gangwon Province. During the shooting, the drama made an exception of using 8 cameras and a total of 74 bombs, which caused a strong repercussion. And the dark factory was buried in the intense flames.
A producer disclosed: “The shooting is very important in terms of content and images, so even if it’s only a scene, but spent a great sum. Although the broadcast lasts only about a minute, but the shooting used 3 days. Put in a lot of efforts, because it’s not a simple shooting, so the cast members and crew members have been working hard, but looking at the wonderful images captured, I feel a great sense of accomplishment.”
