Actor Kim Soo Hyun donates 300 million won to Danwon High School wherein the over 300 students aboard in Sewol ferry came from.

According to his agency's representative, "Kim Soo Hyun is hopeful that the donation could help to lessen the grief and pain of the students who survived over those who didn't. They are the ones who are deeply hurt by the tragedy."

He added, "We are very sad towards the death of the students but we are here also to support the students and teachers who are alive and anxious about their physical and mental health after the tragedy. Hopefully we can be of help to bring them back to normal life."
