Due to contract expiration, vocal group 8Eight has decided to go their seperate ways for the time being after 7 years.
It was revealed that 8Eight members Joo Hee and Baek Chan' contracts with Big Hit Entertainment expired last September and the two decided not to renew with the company, while Lee Hyun's contract has been extended with the same amount of time when he served his military service.
A rep from Big Hit Entertainment said on December 21st,"No further activities for 8Eight have been planned. The group activities have been temporary suspended due to their contract expiration. However, the three still remain their friendship so they will reunite if there's an opportunity".
In particular, Lee Hyun is said to be preparing for his new solo album which will be released in the first half of next year, while Joo Hee and Baek Chan are currently searching for their new agencies but have yet to find any.
8Eight won first place at MBC's 'Show Survival' in 2007 and later made their official debut in the same year. Their latest release was 'Let's Not Go Crazy' in September 2014.
