Song Joong Ki's side has officially denied the reports saying Song Joong Ki has been confirmed for upcoming movie 'Martial Arts'.
The actor's agency, Blossom Entertainemnt stated on January 30th,"It's true that we received the offer for 'Martial Arts', but it's just one of the many projects that we have received. Nothing has been decided yet","We will decided on his new project once he gets discharged from the army. For now, completing military service is his priority".
'Martial Art's is a sci-fi fantasy action movie about a high school boy who stumles upon a mysterious village full of criminals which also holds the secret of procuring endless energy. It's a large-scale joint project worths 20 million dollars between CJ E&M and China Film Group. It will be directed by Park Kwang Hyun who was behind the fame of 'Welcome to Dongmakgol'.
The movie has undergone some trouble finding a lead male ever since its first cranking. The role was first offered to Jo In Sung as his comeback project after discharging from the army but he decided to drop it since the filming was postponed. Then in April, 2014, Yeo Jin Goo was confirmed for the movie but the Chinese investment company wanted to sign with Kim Soo Hyun, who was experiencing a huge popularity in China thanks to 'You Who Came From The Stars' at that time, which led to the sudden cut down of Yeo Jin Goo, causing much controversy.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki will discharge on May 26th, 2015.
