Electric cars are no pushovers on the road. Some cars have learned that fact the hard way when they went up against the Tesla Model S.
Now, a team of students from the Delft University of Technology in Netherlands have managed to make an electric single-seater with only 135hp go from 0-100km/h in 2.15 seconds. That is insane!
They took the world record for the fastest accelerating EV, which previously stood at 2.68 seconds.
The fitted their EV - dubbed the DUT12 with four independent electric motors and made it carry a total weight of 320lbs / 145kg.
