Ford’s beloved GT – a mid-engine two-seater has recently been resurrected by Galpin Auto Sports for a showcase at this year’s Quail Motorsports Gathering held in Monterey, California. Galpin tapped Doug Breuninger to transform the 2005 sports car into the above sleek and powerful supercar.
Besides the slick carbon fiber/aluminum body constructed, the car is also packed with a massive twin-turbocharged
V8 engine capable of 1,024 horsepower which can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in
just three seconds (with a top speed of 225 mph). Limited to just 24 units, Galpin’s Ford GTR1 is expected to be priced at around $1 million USD.
