The Petersen Automotive Museum Is Getting A Makeover With New Facade And A Larger Space (Video)

The Petersen Automotive Museum is getting a makeover. The plan is to cover it up in a new facade, and to increase the exhibit space by 15,000 square feet to adjust the selection of cars on display. Mind you, 15,000 square feet is smaller than what VW will be taking up at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
NY based architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates will be tasked to turning the Petersen into “a place you’d want to be at because these cars are works of art. That is what this building will now do. It will fully represent the car as art.”
Work is said to begin in March of 2014, and finished in the same year.
