Italdesign Giugiaro used one of VW's new MQB platforms to underpin their latest creations called Clipper. The focus behind it was "tomorrow's world and cities".

In Giorgetto Giugiaro’s own words, they “wanted to focus our styling and engineering research on a project for a deliberately not futuristic car. The only concession to exotic lies in the door opening mechanism, with ‘butterfly’ doors at the front and ‘gull-wing’ at the back.

The Clipper uses a pair of 150hp electric motors and it can reach a range of 540km on a single charge.
