This looks like a giant wooden Rubik's Cube, but it is actually called the Float Table. It appears to be suspended in the air, and that's because it is. The effect is created by a combination of embedded magnets and steel cables. The whole thing is still stable even when touched.
Created by Rock Paper Robot, it employs engineering techniques used to create high-end kinetic homegoods.
