How the heck does a mountain wind up on top of an apartment without anybody noticing? According to reports, this 2-story mountain villa took about six years to construct atop a 26-story apartment building in Beijing. The 8,600-square-foot home (which includes rocks and trees) belongs to Chinese doctor and businessman Zhang Biqing.
Neighbors in the building claimed they have been complaining to authorities for years about the unauthorized home, which has resulted in cracks, leaks, and other problems to the building. It's only after worldwide press coverage that a demolition order was finally issued by the government.
