Think China's smog is terrible? Think again. While major cities like Beijing and Shanghai might be notorious for its hazardous air pollutions, reports have revealed that the situation in New Delhi is far worse.

Apparently, the current air in New Delhi "is more laden with dangerous small particles of pollution, more often, than Beijing’s," and "a very bad air day in Beijing is about an average one in New Delhi." This could also explain why the death rate due to chronic respiratory diseases is much higher in India than anywhere else in the world.

Here's a couple more disturbing pics of what smoggy Delhi looks like on the ground.
