Zappos recently gave its employees a choice. In March, CEO Tony Hsieh sent a company wide memo offering employees three months' pay to quit if they were not happy with the changes that will be taking place in the company.
Hsieh proposed a change from the traditional model of running a company using a top-down approach, to a concept called holocracy.
Holocracy distributes the power evenly throughout the whole organization, removing the need for manager roles and job titles, hence making decision making and getting things done much faster.
