Yesterday, we posted what was supposed to be an 'art' project called "First Kiss," where 20 strangers meet for the first time and make out in front of a camera. It was totally adorable, and it went viral.

It's also actually a clothing advertisement.

The video was directed and produced by Tatia Pilieva, who got 10 guys and 10 girls and told them to make out. While all the details about it was true (that they were strangers and kissing each other for the first time), Double X points out that it was fundamentally a commercial for the clothing line Wren:

And you're not actually watching random people who were plucked off the street to get intimate. Many of the participants are people whose jobs involve being charismatic on camera, which makes things a little different:
The cast includes models Natalia Bonifacci, Ingrid Schram, and Langley Fox(daughter of actress Mariel Hemingway and sister of model Dree); musicians Z Berg of The Like, Damian Kulash of OK Go, Justin Kennedy of Army Navy, singer Nicole Simone, and singer-actress Soko (who also performed the melancholy indie music that accompanies the short); and actors Karim Saleh, Matthew Carey, Jill Larson,Corby Griesenbeck, Elisabetta Tedla, Luke Cook, and Marianna Palka.
Well it's still cute, even though it would have been more authentic with random strangers equipped with no experience in front of a rolling camera! But it's an adorable advertisement anyway. And I don't think anyone was looking at the clothes.
