"She bought a brand-new Lexus convertible with the money he gave her," Christine's pal tells In Touch. "Christine can't afford a $50,000 car and a home that rents for $10,000 a month -- she was making a nanny's salary. You do the math."
And the pressure seems to be getting to Ben. An eyewitness tells In Touch the actor paced nervously outside his Atlanta rental on Aug. 9, clutching a drink and a cigarette. "He was obviously stressed," the witness says.
"The big problem [for Ben] is making sure Christine doesn't unravel," the friend tells In Touch.
