Twitter Opens at $45.10, Increase 73% From IPO Price

Twitter opened on the New York Stock Exchange at $45.10 per share, which is 73% more than the $26 IPO price.
Reuters is reporting that demand for Twitter shares is huge and that unnamed sources saying Twitter is "30 times subscribed". That means investors are asking for 30 times the amount of stock being offered.
Twitter's opening day performance is much better than Facebook, which opened higher at $38 but closed at $38.23.
