3D printing is already making waves, and it is going to play a major role in the future of manufacturing. Researchers at Cornell University have managed to print a fully functional speaker, including its cone, wiring and magnet!

The speaker's sound isn't Bose quality for sure, but this proof of concept is a feat. The silver ink used to create all of the speaker's wiring and its coil was used to 3D print the magnet. After completion, all that was needed was some assembly to bring the speaker to life. [designboom]
