Samsung has a new nanny cam now. And it is designed to withstand the elements so that it can watch over your home from the outside.
The Samsung SmartCam HD Outdoor surveillance camera ($229) is IP66 weatherproof by NEMA. That means this thing here is hardy! The protected camera connects to a Wi-Fi base station and power source inside your house with an ethernet cable. Samsung's smart camera connects to your home wireless network and allows you to view what is going on from any internet connected device. There's even alerts for motion, and a little microphone and speaker built in so you can talk to the intruder or someone you know who's in your house. The cameras shoot 1080p video.
