Apple aims to control your entire home, not just your mobile life. In an Apple patent published Tuesday, the company's concept for a smart home may include your gadgets talking to one another.

The patent describes a "system and method of determining location of wireless communication devices for controlling/adjusting operation of devices based on the location."

From lighting systems to security systems, music controllers, climate controllers or kitchen appliances, the patent is a predictive element. It is adhering to the concept of the Internet of things.

Sounds great, but the only setback is that all your gadgets will probably have to be Apple compliant. Or connected via an app of sorts.
