Subaru Reveals New Hybrid Based On The XV Crosstrek

Subaru has announced the new Hybrid version of the XV Crosstrek. It is their first ever production hybrid vehicle.
Among other standard features on the base model are a high-grade color multi-function display with a 4.3-inch screen, automatic climate control system, upgraded instrument cluster and chrome exterior door handles, while the Touring adds a touch-screen navigation system, leather-trimmed seating and a power moonroof.
The XV Crosstrek Hybrid pairs a 148hp 2.0-liter boxer engine to a CVT transmission fitted with a 13.4 hp (~10 kW) electric motor. Subaru claims a combined fuel economy figure of 31 mpg, or 7.6 l/100km, and as much as 34 mpg (6.9 l/100km) on the highway.
