Nissan will unveil the updated 2014 GT-R at the Tokyo Motor Show. The refreshed model will bring a series of upgrades that give it a more comfortable ride.
Its suspension has been tuned to reduce load fluctuation between the four wheels, and provide better stability and more consistent grip. The automaker has optimized the electronic control of the shock absorber valves and modified the front stabilizer spring rates and bush link. They also included the reduction of minute vibrations and road noise and added new Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT standard tires.
On top of that, the automaker also retuned brakes for a more firm and linear response at everyday speeds. Steering is also easier to use during in-town maneuvers.
The Nissan GT-R will feature LED headlights with AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System) and a distinctive "lightning" motif. It gains a new body color called Gold Flake Red Pearl, featuring microscopic gold tinted glass flakes infused into the red paint. The car also comes with a choice of three color schemes including a new pale ivory trim option.
Sales of the 2014 Nissan GT-R begin in Japan on December 2, with other markets worldwide to get the car next year.
