iFixit has gotten their hands on Apple's new iPad Air, and it turns out, you're going to have to take really good care of it because it is very hard to open and repair.
The iPad Air is much thinner and lighter than the 4th-gen iPad. The LCD is relatively easy to remove and the front panel is glued to the rest of the device and the battery is hard to remove due to large amounts of adhesive used to hold parts together.
So unless you're good with tools, we suggest to give it a miss if you want to attempt fixing this yourself.
