Flexible OLED Camera Lets You Take Panoramic Pictures In A Single Snap (Video)

Researchers at Queen's University's Human Media Lab have come up with an easier way to take panorama pictures. They are using a flexible camera that can capture panoramic pictures in a single snap.
Dubbed the FlexCam, the prototype was developed by a team of interface researchers last year, but is now only being shown to the general public. A series of lenses and sensors attached to it automatically captures and stitches together a wider field of view as the FlexCam is bent in an arc. A flexible OLED panel on the back also means the camera's display can bend with the rest of its body too.
For now, there are no plans to commercialize the tech, but hopefully we'll be seeing this in cameras in the future. Check out the video below: [Queen's University Human Media Lab via Damn Geeky]
