Volkswagen will make budget cars for China, as it is the biggest market for low cost cars. “The concept and design are now in place. We will produce all components in China,” project manager Hans Demant told Reuters at the Beijing Auto Show.

Volkswagen has been trying to hit internal cost goals for its budget car for more than a year. It could mean big news for the automaker if they manage to hit budget markets like China and India.
