Helmets' will protect your head during a ski accident. You have to replace the helmet after its first major impact. But helmet liners made from expanded polypropylene can endure multiple of these impacts before you need to replace them. This new helmet, combines that approach with sensors.

POC's new Skull Orbic H.I. MIPS helmet can actually tell you when it's time to buy a new one. The system of stress-strain sensors are located all over the helmet to measure the amount of deformation that occurs as a result of an impact. They are calculated and accumulated over time and when the severity surpasses a recommended level, a red light will let an athlete know its time to change the helmet.

Each helmet will sell for $480 each. Check it out here: [POC]
