Buxom model Elly Mayday was just 25 when she underwent a hysterectomy. The “curvy Canadian” who measures 34-29-44 was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer that is usually only seen in post-menopausal women.
Elly only found out about her condition around the same time she was signing on with modeling agencies in New York and Los Angeles. Months of grueling chemotherapy soon followed, and she lost 40 pounds and her hair due in the process. But her battle with cancer wasn't going to put this brave beauty's career aspirations on hold.
Elly and her family are hopeful that she’ll go into remission after her last installment of treatments. She is now resuming her modeling career by bearing her bald head, scars and all. Here she is posing for a campaign for Vancouver company Forever Yours Lingerie, while simultaneously changing the way we all view models and cancer patients alike.
