Both the M3 sedan and M4 coupe are on display making their world premiere at the Detroit Motor Show. Both will launch in spring, at undisclosed prices.

There will be a new 3.0-liter straight-six turbo engine spitting out 425hp (431PS) from 5,500rpm to 7,300rpm and peak torque of 550Nm (406 lb-ft) between 1,850rpm and 5,500rpm.

The M3 and M4 are approximately 80kg lighter than respective versions of the previous M3 series. Both models can reach 100km/h in 4.1 seconds when fitted with the DCT dual cluth auto transmission and 4.3 seconds in manual labor.
