New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. filed a lawsuit against Converse accusing them of infringing trademark properties when Converse sought to assert trademarks on classic canvas shoes with rubber toes and other features at the International Trade Commission.

The issue is both are bearing a similar canvas build with rubber toes. New Balance is seeking a “declaration of non-infringement” against Converse and expressed disappointment in the two parties’ inability to agree to a resolution.
