Italy

The online gambling market in Italy was recently awarded the second place in all of Europe in terms of the revenue generated by the gambling industry. It registered a rise of 25% compared to last year and reached 10.26 billion EUR. And even though the AAMS,  short for Autonomous Administration of the Monopolies, is quite rough with every new operator that wants to penetrate the Italian market, the prediction for 2017 is even better. The Italian government cashed-in almost 250 million EUR out of the gambling activities but it seems that it’s still not enough as they are working on a new law to boost the tax for every win over 500 EUR from 6% to 10%.

UK

Gambling in the British archipelago has prospered starting with the Gambling Act of 2005 that was actually put into application in 2007, an initiative of the Tony Blair government.
