There's so many theories about Rey in The Force Awakens, and we're not going to get any answers just yet until the next installment hits us, two years from now. So a new fan theory is floating around, dealing with Rey's mysterious origins.

The theory posits that Rey is actually Anakin Skywalker reincarnated.


It's because she's got a strong connection with the Force and she's a badass pilot and mechanic.


She also suffers flashbacks when she touches his lightsaber.


Could Maz Kanata be referring to Anakin when she says, "I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people"?


Could Anakin have found a way to cheat death?


Anakin is just one iteration of "The Chosen One," and Rey is the latest version.


Some have even pointed out the shadow of Darth Vader behind Rey.
