And thank goodness for that? Can you imagine what LOTR would be like if he had been in it? Though, it does seem that Nicolas Cage is the go-to choice for some popular movies that have happened already. Remember Tim Burton's Superman?
Nicolas Cage almost played Aragon in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
He also revealed that he was offered a role in The Matrix too, but was forced to turn them down.

Lord of the Rings. That trilogy. Aragorn. Or The Matrix. But the thing is about those movies, I can watch them. I can enjoy them as an audience member. I don’t really watch my own movies. And so I genuinely do have the joy of watching these—especially with Lord of the Rings.
