A lot of people fell for a hoax that was circulating on Facebook, saying that McDonald's was getting rid of the Big Mac. Calm down! It's not true! The rumor was started by a satirical story on the website Daily Buzz Live.
It's almost believable because Daily Buzz Life features both real news stories and a few that are satire.
The story got a lot of attention, tricking people into believing that McDonald's is getting rid of the Big Mac, Apple pies and large sizes.
The post got more than 8,500 shares on Facebook, making a lot of Big Mac fans very sad.
“With McDonald’s profits tanking over the recent months, the company has had to make some tough decisions to find adequate solutions for their financial distress by shrinking menu sizes,” reads the story.
