The long weekend is coming, and if you've got plans to laze around the house for the entire duration, why not revisit some of these classic stoner movies. Here are 17 of our favorites:

1. Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)

What it’s about: A group of teenagers who enjoy malls, sex and rock and roll.

2. Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989)

What it’s about: Stoner time travelers Bill and Ted, aren't actually stoners. They're just spacey. But they're insanely entertaining.

3. Dazed and Confused (1993)

What it’s about: Students celebrate the end of the school year by partying hard and hazing incoming freshmen.

4. Half Baked (1998)

What it’s about: The typical stoner farce, complete with modern-day pothead icons and comedy standbys.

5. The Big Lebowski (1998)

What it’s about: Jeff Bridges is “The Dude,” a man without many passions in life aside from bowling and marijuana.

6. Dude, Where’s My Car? (2000)

What it’s about: Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott star in a movie where they wake up with no memory of what happened the day before and set out on an adventure to look for Ashton's character's car.

7. How High (2001)

What it’s about: Silas and Jamal use the ashes of a dead friend as fertilizer for weed, and the resulting product is hilarious.

8. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)

What it’s about: Jay and Silent bob return to seek retribution after they find out that comic book characters inspired by them are getting big-screen treatment.

9. Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)

What it’s about: Harold and Kumar hatch a plan to go to White Castle. They end up in an adventure and disaster-filled trip.

10. Knocked Up (2007)

What it’s about: Ben Stone played by Seth Rogen has a one night stand with a woman way above his reach, Alison Scott, played by Katherine Heigl. She gets pregnant, and the two decide to make it work.

11. Pineapple Express (2008)

What it’s about: Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) and his weed dealer Saul Silver (James Franco) become accidental witnesses to a crime. They run away from the bad guys.

12. Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay (2008)

What it’s about: Harold and Kumar return for another adventure where they find themselves detained as terrorists and sent to Guantanamo Bay.

13. Tropic Thunder (2008)

What it's about: A bunch of diva actors get together for a movie that was shot in a "real-life" war setting they were unaware about and become real action heroes.

14. Your Highness (2011)

What it’s about: Fantasy sex comedy starring Danny McBride who goes on a quest to save his kingdom from an evil warlock.

15. A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas (2011)

What it’s about: Harold and Kumar have grown up, but their paths meet again for Christmas. The story is largely about their friendship and how their lives have moved on and how they rediscovered that good friends are forever.

16. Ted (2012)

What it’s about: John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) lives with his best friend and lifelong companion, a talking teddy bear named Ted.

What it’s about: A post-apocalyptic setting where the rapture happens, and those left behind have to deal with the world coming to an end.
