It is about time some teary-eyed heartfelt ad about fathers came about. This one here is from WestJet, and they gave a hardworking dad the ultimate Father's Day surprise - a reunion with his sick child.
The airline worked with the Ronald McDonald House Charities to bring the Grimard family together. They were separated after their youngest son, Joel, required longterm treatment for a congenital heart condition. He was far away from home. Joel and his mother were relocated to Edmonton, Alberta, while dad Marc and older son Mattieu stayed back in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Watch the moving video below:
Airline employee Medel Villena trained for Marc's job as a city transit worker so he could take over his duties while Marc could take time off to be with his family.
Vilena surprised him at work, bringing the father and his coworkers to tears.
WestJet did something similar last year when they surprised customers with personalized presents in an ad, though, this new one of theirs sets a new record for tears, for sure.
