What better way to show how society has become virtually slaves to mega-corporations like McDonalds than by poking fun at the mascot himself getting his over-sized fiberglass shoe shined by a “real live boy.” The sculpture dubbed 'Shoeshine' depicts “the powerful figure of Ronald McDonald waving impassively as his ridiculously oversized clown shoes are buffed to a fine shine.” The installation will be located in the South Bronx and will make its way to a different McDonalds around the city at lunchtime for the whole of next week.
