Yohji Yamamoto-founded Y's and Akihiro Woodworks got together to produce the JINCUP, a wooden coffee mug which drinking surface is sanded down to a smooth finish while the octagonal body is made from tabunoki; a type of evergreen tree native to Kagoshima prefecture, to allow for a comfortable non-slip grip. Unfortunately, this mug doesn't come cheap at ¥31,500 JPY (approximately $327 USD). But it's currently available for purchase in red or black colors at all Y's retail locations in Japan.
